the challenge is, and has always been, embracing the journey when it puts you in cuffs and throws you in the back of a van. what it means to be a man and what it means to be human brawl for the keys to my ignition. i'm proud to announce that the former won convincingly today. the latter will always speak, though, shouting seductive syllogisms, compelling and consuming, founded in my deepest vulnerabilities and desires. despite this, the former deserves to throw for 8 innings, and the latter must act as the relief. when the doors swing open and the hands cut loose, your consistent directed action will have saved your life twice. spit out the blood with a smile on your face.
