Tenses

everything was right but the time
lost in translation of self and direction
the rope watches you fall
convicted, the summit was fruitless
but the bog knows all
stoned in the cellar of tenses
desire casts reflections of past
proceeding to expunge
ideally replace
or maybe even repeat
